Florida Realtors Convention 2026: Lender Lead Playbook
The 2026 Florida Realtors Convention and REBarCamp give Florida agents a timely reason to sharpen lender conversations before the fall buying season. The useful goal is not a generic networking pitch; it is a clear buyer-service workflow that turns a real question into a permission-based introduction and a qualified next step.

The official Florida Realtors event page lists REBarCamp Orlando on August 18, the Convention and Trade Expo on August 19–20, and governance meetings on August 21–23. The page describes REBarCamp as peer-to-peer learning on listings, multiple offers, marketing and technology, and says the two-day Trade Expo is free with registration required.
Those dates are useful context for an agent’s calendar, not a reason to promise business results. A lender relationship still has to earn trust transaction by transaction.
A convention conversation that can lead to a qualified buyer referral
- Start with a problem, not a product. Ask what buyer question is slowing the agent’s current pipeline: cash to close, insurance documents, condo review, self-employment income or a contract deadline.
- Offer one useful next step. Explain what a lender can clarify and what remains with the Realtor, title company, insurer or attorney. Avoid turning a general question into a prediction about approval or timing.
- Ask permission before sharing contact details. A warm introduction should identify the buyer’s question and let the buyer decide whether to continue.
- Use a repeatable follow-up. Record the question, preferred contact method, property type, occupancy plan and requested next action. Do not collect sensitive documents in an event chat.
- Close the loop. Tell the agent whether the buyer connected, without sharing private financial details or implying an outcome the lender has not determined.
Questions to ask a potential lender partner in Orlando
- How do you separate education from a loan decision?
- What is the secure channel for borrower documents?
- How do you handle insurance, condo, appraisal and contract questions that need another professional?
- How will you keep the buyer informed without bypassing the Realtor?
- What information can you share back to the agent, and what stays private?
These questions help an agent evaluate service quality rather than chase a headline. The right lender partner makes the handoff more useful for the buyer and easier for the Realtor to explain.

Turn a good conversation into a better buyer handoff
If your Florida buyers need plain-English financing guidance, start with a service conversation and let the buyer choose the next step.
